The CEO of Obuasi Bitters has brought new hope to Pomposo R/C Primary School in the Obuasi East community after a fire destroyed the school’s office structure earlier this year. The incident affected the staff common room, nearby offices, and newly supplied books from Kumasi, leaving teachers without a proper workspace. The situation remained difficult until Dr. Amo Collins, the CEO of Obuasi Bitters, stepped in to support the school.

At the ceremony, Dr. Collins explained that he is an old student of Pomposo R/C Primary School, and this connection motivated him to act quickly. After seeing the damage, he met with his management team and decided to rebuild the office complex completely. He stated that education is a central part of Obuasi Bitters’ social responsibility, and helping the school was a way of giving back to the community that shaped him.

The new building includes a spacious staff office, modern washrooms, a well-arranged library, and a private office with a washroom for the headmaster. This upgraded facility is expected to improve teaching conditions and strengthen the learning environment for students.

The Obuasi East Director of Education, Mr. Kwabena Owusu Nketia, expressed his gratitude and prayed for blessings for Dr. Collins and his family. He noted that acts of kindness like this inspire educators and remind them that the children they teach today may become the future leaders who uplift the community. The gesture has created renewed motivation among staff and stands as a powerful example of genuine commitment to education.
