She described how the main gutter remains choked, causing water to overflow and flood their shops whenever it rains. According to her, the Obuasi Market Women Appeal for Support because they cannot continue losing their goods to floodwaters while still paying regular market fees.

Another trader revealed that water from the floods sometimes enters her shop and destroys her goods. She mentioned that the assembly is aware of the issue but has not taken meaningful action.
