The recent helicopter accident in Ghana has sparked important conversations across the nation. Nana Kitikyie Apenteng II, Dompoase Kontihene, has stressed that there is nothing spiritual about this tragic incident. Speaking in an interview, he urged Ghanaians to focus on doing the right things as a nation rather than attributing everything to spiritual causes.
He pointed out that while bad roads in Ghana are widely known, not much attention has been given to the sky. Poor weather conditions, he explained, can also cause accidents during flights. The helicopter accident in Ghana should be a wake-up call for the country to put politics aside and prioritize the care of government properties.

According to him, negligence has become an unfortunate habit in Ghana. Instead of engaging in political divisions, citizens and leaders should unite to repair, maintain, and replace damaged vehicles and restore poor road conditions. These preventive measures, he said, could save lives and reduce accidents.
Nana Kitikyie Apenteng II also highlighted that many government vehicles are in poor condition, yet they are often neglected in favor of other priorities. He described this as a bad practice that needs urgent change.
Ending his speech, he sent his condolences to President Mahama and called on him to use the helicopter accident in Ghana as an opportunity to repair and possibly replace all faulty government vehicles. He believes this step could prevent future tragedies and promote national safety.
