The recent tragedy in Ghana has taken a dramatic twist as allegations surface that the Helicopter Crash Was a Coup Plot Against Mahama. According to Abraham Koomson, Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), the August 6 crash in Adansi Akrofuom, which killed eight top government and military officials, was not a simple aviation accident but a failed attempt to overthrow President John Dramani Mahama.
The disaster claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology and MP for Tamale Central Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, NDC Vice Chairman Dr. Samuel Sarpong, and Deputy NADMO Director-General Samuel Aboagye. Koomson argued that given the experience of the pilots, it is difficult to believe this was an accident, stressing instead that the Helicopter Crash Was a Coup Plot Against Mahama.
Speaking on Ahotor FM, Koomson suggested that the suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident point to a broader conspiracy against the government. He urged President Mahama to adopt stronger security measures, reminding the nation of how Dr. Kwame Nkrumah introduced strict policies to protect his government when his leadership came under threat.
Koomson further accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of orchestrating what he called “evil machinations” to destabilize the Mahama administration. He warned that the deaths of such high-ranking officials show how serious the situation is, adding that if a Defence Minister could be killed, then the President himself must be extremely cautious.
He called for an independent investigation into the crash, raising questions about how it happened and who was truly responsible. For him, the Helicopter Crash Was a Coup Plot Against Mahama and should never be dismissed as a normal accident.
Public pressure has continued to mount, with many Ghanaians demanding transparency and accountability. The government has described the tragedy as a national disaster, while the debate over whether the Helicopter Crash Was a Coup Plot Against Mahama keeps intensifying.
