Obuasi Municipality is preparing for a major development milestone with plans underway for a new Nursing Training School. The project forms part of broader government efforts to improve education, healthcare, and infrastructure for residents.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Faustilove Appiah-Kanin, has disclosed that the Nursing Training School is one of several important projects planned to drive growth and social development. The school is expected to improve access to healthcare education, create employment opportunities, and support the training of skilled health professionals for the area and beyond.

In addition to the Nursing Training School, other major projects are also in the pipeline. These include the construction of a modern 24-hour market to boost local trading activities and economic growth. Plans are also in place to rehabilitate key roads, including the Konka Junction road, to improve transportation and ease movement within Obuasi Municipality.

Government plans further include the restoration of destroyed buildings and improvements to existing infrastructure. These developments are aimed at improving living standards and supporting long-term growth. The Nursing Training School remains a key highlight, as it directly strengthens both education and healthcare delivery.
