The Obuasi MCE has confirmed that Awurade Basa School will soon see a major facelift as part of the 2026 budget of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly. Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin, the Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi, made this announcement, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the municipality.
According to the Obuasi MCE, the six-unit classroom block at Awurade Basa will undergo a complete renovation to provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning. She added that the project will also cover the refurbishment of the school’s kitchen and canteen facilities, ensuring better conditions for both students and staff.
Hon. Appiah Kannin explained that the renovation works will begin once all necessary approvals and contract awards are completed. She emphasized that these interventions align with the Assembly’s goal of enhancing quality education and infrastructure development across the Obuasi Municipality.
