Obuasi Local Prisons lack basic infrastructure and need urgent support. According to DSP Daniel Nii Adu Quaye, some officers can’t hold back their tears anytime they walk through the prison yard. The P.R.O of the facility added that the prison seriously lacks infrastructure, resources, and materials needed for daily operations.

He made a passionate appeal to the general public and all stakeholders to step in and support the prison. He emphasized that anyone who can help, whether big or small, should donate items that can make a difference. Obuasi Local Prisons face severe infrastructure challenges, and every contribution counts.
The authorities have promised that all donations will be evaluated properly inside the yard. Items will be distributed fairly to inmates, and materials meant for other purposes will be used wisely and efficiently. The Obuasi Local Prisons operate under poor infrastructure conditions, and now is the time for the community to respond.

With conditions worsening by the day, it’s clear that the Obuasi Prisons are burdened by poor facilities and cannot cope with the limited resources available. Follow PN Media for more updates on this critical situation.
