The Independent Parliamentary candidate for the Obuasi West Constituency, Hon. Odeneho Kofi Appianin Ennin, is brimming with optimism as he sets his sights on unseating the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Kwarteng, in the upcoming General Election. Speaking to PN Media after a massive Constituency Health Walk through the principal streets of Obuasi, he confidently stated, “I will get forty-two thousand (42,000) out of the total valid votes cast, and Hon. Kwarteng will get only two thousand (2,000) votes.” His bold prediction reflects his strong belief in the support he has garnered from the community.

During his address, Odeneho urged the people of Obuasi West to vote against the current MP, claiming that the welfare of the constituents has been overlooked. He emphasized his commitment to prioritizing policies that would benefit the community if elected. “You guys should try me and see; I will change the face of Obuasi and bring more development to the constituency,” he declared. He also highlighted his plans to invest in boxing to nurture the talent of local youth and mentioned the establishment of his football team, which is awaiting approval from the Ghana Football Association.

In his closing remarks, Odeneho encouraged the youth to refrain from electoral violence during the election period, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful electoral process. He expressed hope for a landslide victory in the Obuasi West Parliamentary election on December 7th, urging the crowd to vote for change. “The future of Obuasi looks miserably under the current Member of Parliament,” he concluded, rallying support for his vision of progress and development in the constituency.
