The call for a nursing training school in Obuasi East is growing louder, and rightfully so. Hon. Kofi Adzowu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi East, has passionately appealed to the Member of Parliament, Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom, to support the establishment of this essential institution. This initiative, according to the MCE, is not about politics but about the long-term benefit of the entire municipality.

Hon. Kofi Adzowu emphasized that party interests should be set aside when it comes to important development projects. He explained that campaign policies can be presented during elections, such as in 2028, but in the meantime, everyone must work together to improve Obuasi East. He believes the proposed nursing training school in Obuasi East will create more opportunities, especially for the youth, and help raise the standard of healthcare in the area.

He also reminded the public that Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom, the current MP for the area, is a medical doctor. As such, the MCE urged him to use his experience in the health sector to contribute significantly to the project. He pleaded with the MP to fully support the vision, explaining that building the nursing school should not be seen as an individual or party achievement but a collective benefit for the people.

The MCE stressed that the nursing training school in Obuasi East will belong to the people and serve the entire municipality. He called on citizens, leaders, and all stakeholders to rally behind the project and work toward making it a reality.
