The Abompe Killing case has taken a new turn as the father of the deceased has confirmed that the prime suspect has been arrested and is now in police custody. The shocking incident happened at Obuasi Abompe in the Ashanti Region, where a 27-year-old man named Sylvester was accused of killing his girlfriend, popularly known as Biggest Abena. This tragic incident has sparked fear and concern across the community.

According to reports, the confrontation started after Abena threatened to end the relationship if Sylvester did not stop his excessive smoking habits. She complained that inhaling marijuana smoke was affecting her health, and on the day of the incident, another argument broke out between the two. Even after promising to quit, Sylvester allegedly asked Abena for money to buy what he called his “last joint,” but she refused.

Sources say Sylvester later went to a barber friend to ask for money but was advised to learn the trade instead of depending on others for money to support his habit. That same evening, around 10 PM, Abena was found dead inside Sylvester’s room, deepening suspicions surrounding the Abompe Killing.

Some neighbors reported hearing three gunshots near the suspect’s house, adding more mystery to the case. The father of the deceased confirmed in an interview that the suspect, Sylvester Sowah, was arrested around 2 AM on Monday. He stated that community members, along with two of the suspect’s brothers, helped lure him out so the police could make the arrest.

The Obuasi police have since taken Sylvester into custody as investigations into the Abompe Killing continue. The community and the family of the late TikToker, Biggest Abena, are hoping for justice and clarity as the case develops.
