A 28-year-old final-year nursing student, Kyere Gifty from Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College, has tragically died under suspicious circumstances in Berekum Jinijini, Bono Region. Reports indicate that her boyfriend, 23-year-old Edmond Ayomah, is the prime suspect in her alleged murder.

Final-Year Nursing Student

Gifty, final-year nursing student, had reportedly left campus to visit Ayomah, but the visit ended in her untimely death. Initially, Ayomah claimed she suffered an asthma attack, but evidence suggests foul play. Shockingly, it was later revealed that he allegedly attempted to terminate her pregnancy through unsafe means, leading to her death.

Pastor Kyere Jonathan, Gifty’s father and a senior pastor at Agape Evangelical Church, expressed deep grief over his daughter’s death. He confirmed that Gifty had recently visited home to collect school fees before the incident.

“This is a devastating loss. She was about to graduate and serve as a nurse. We demand justice,” he stated, urging the Ghana Police Service to act swiftly.

Authorities are actively investigating the case and have appealed to the public for patience as they work to uncover the full details behind this tragic event.

The community and Gifty’s family are calling for accountability, hoping this case highlights the dangers of gender-based violence in Ghana. Updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
