The Fifty 50 Club has made a significant donation to help Fomena T.I. Ahmadiyya School recover from a recent fire. To solve the accommodation problem in the school’s female dormitory, the Fifty 50 Club provided 30 metal bunk beds. The donation came after a fire destroyed the old wooden beds in February of this year. The Fifty 50 Club is well known for its support of vulnerable people and those in need in the Obuasi area and beyond.

According to Mr. Jacob Edmond-Acquah, the president of the Fifty 50 Club, they decided to donate metal beds to ensure they would last longer and be resistant to future fire outbreaks. He stated that the 30 donated beds can accommodate 60 students. However, the school needs 20 more bunk beds to provide for 100 students. Mr. Edmond-Acquah is calling on other individuals and organizations to help them purchase the remaining beds.

The Headmaster of Fomena Amass, Mr. Osman Yaw Baidoo, expressed his gratitude for the generous donation. He recalled how the fire on February 21st left the school in a difficult situation. To avoid sending the students home, they temporarily housed them in other dorms. The headmaster reached out to the Fifty 50 Club, which quickly responded with the much-needed bunk beds. Thanks to this donation, the students can now return to their original dormitory.
